'Quentin Durward' is a novel by Walter Scott. The plot takes place in the 15th century. A big struggle between Louis XI of France and his adversary Charles the Bold is happening. Quentin Durward is the head of the rifle squad. Louis XI orders him to accompany Isabelle de Croye to Liege. The beautiful Isabelle de Croye wants to avoid the political marriage imposed on her by Charles. Quentin and his squad must deliver the countess in safety at any cost. Along the way Quentin sucessfully leads his squad through the dangers and uncovers a plot against the countess. People are just puppets on the hands of some experienced puppeteers. During the journey, the heart of the young adventurer begins to beat faster not only from the proximity of dangers.
